ABOUT
Chris Koddermann is founder and Director of Koddermann Public Affairs, a Swiss based government affairs, public policy and communications consultancy serving EU, UK and U.S. based clients operating in complex, highly regulated, multi-stakeholder industries. With over 20 years’ experience in politics and public affairs, Chris helps foster and protect his clients’ ability to operate, compete and grow through the development and execution of research-based government affairs and communications strategies.
Through his consulting business and prior career as an executive working in public affairs and communications, Chris has built a deep understanding of and network of contacts within EU Institutions in Brussels as well as the Geneva based ecosystem of UN institutions and Member State Permanent Missions that have become critical drivers of global regulatory agendas.
Prior to launching Koddermann Public Affairs in 2018, Chris held senior global public affairs and communications leadership roles at in the industrial goods and consumer good industries.
During this time, Chris advised senior management, regional HQs and markets on the design and execution of government affairs and communications focused issue advocacy campaigns. As a result, Chris has international experience encompassing 40+ countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Dubai, South Africa, Japan, China, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Canada.
Chris spent his early career working in Canadian politics, serving as a senior adviser to Provincial and Federal Ministers of Finance, Defense and Justice. He holds master’s degree in international business law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick. Chris is licensed as an Attorney in New York State.
